2017 PSNZ National Convention – Day 4

From what I hear, there were a few late night room parties last night and a lot of folk feeling a little under the weather this morning.  Elvis has a lot to answer for!  Thankfully I had the sense to go to bed at a reasonable hour and was up to see the sun rise on yet another stunning Auckland day. Yesterday was also a stunner as you can see from this group photo from the fieldtrip to Tiritiri Matangi Island.

The final day of convention started with some incredible AV’s and also included the AGM of the Society.  The meeting was well attended and over in no time at all. After morning tea and a little shopping for some at the trade stands it was back to the theatre for our last speaker presentation.  This time it was Si Moore and he sent us all home with a message.  Be true to ourselves, be true to our own style and passion and just go for it.  Don’t spend all your time trying to be someone else because you will never get there.  Be yourself, take or make pictures for yourself and in doing so develop your own style.

This has been a very successful convention and I am glad I have attended. Next year we are all heading to Dunedin and I would encourage all those who have ever thought of attending a National Convention to start saving now.  Dunedin has some stunning photo opportunities and a great speaker line up.  It is looking to be a great event and one not to be missed!
