Responsibilities: As President, Peter is Chair of Council and the Finance and Governance Committee. The President also holds overall responsibility for the Honours Board; the Bowron Foundation; the PSNZ Strategic Plan, Projectors and the PSNZ International Salon. He liaises with all Councillors and their areas of responsibility.
Peter was elected to the position of PSNZ President in October 2016 by the unanimous vote of PSNZ Council.
He is a past President of the Buller Camera Club.
Peter brings a broad range of skills to Council, particularly in governance and management gained while serving as a Justice of the Peace, Rotarian and Trustee for several charitable organisations and numerous business and educational arenas.
An award-winning photographer across many genres, Peter has a particular interest in nature, travel and editorial photography.
His photographs of the Denniston and development of the Denniston Experience – an underground heritage coalmine tourist attraction – have been widely exhibited and published.
He is a regular contributor to Natex, NZ Camera, National and International Salons.
Peter is keen to use his skills and abilities for the benefit of PSNZ and its affiliated camera clubs for the greater advancement of photography.
