The 14th Laurie Thomas New Zealand Landscape Salon 2010
The Christchurch Photographic Society invites you to participate in the Laurie Thomas Landscape Salon.
The 14th Laurie Thomas NZ Landscape Salon format this year will have one section combining both digital and slide entries. One trophy only will be awarded plus, at the Judges discretion, Silver, Bronze medal(s), Honours and acceptances.
Up to four images may be entered either digital or slide or a combination of both
All entries must depict the New Zealand landscape.
The selection panel will be chaired by Elizabeth Carruthers FPSNZ AFIAP from Tauranga.
Elizabeth is the former chair of the PSNZ Honours Board, and has been involved in photography and judging for many years. Her main interests are abstract/fantasy, landscape and travel photography.
Also on the panel is Cliff Threadgold FPSNZ ARPS, of Hamilton, who is also a member of the Honours Board and a highly regarded photography judge and tutor.
The third member is Gillian Hodgson APSNZ, of Tauranga, whose travel photography demonstrates a fine judgement of composition and mood.
This Landscape Salon was established in 1997 and is run by the Christchurch Photographic Society in memory of former member the late Laurie Thomas, using part of a generous legacy he left to the Society. He was a keen photographer of the New Zealand landscape using the medium of slides.
