SUMMARY:Painterly Landscapes
DESCRIPTION:For nearly 40 years Peter Rees has been engaged in fine art as a painter and photographer\, with more than 20 exhibitions and vast experience teaching and leading workshops. He brings a painter’s eye to photography and will offer fresh perspectives on how to render the world around us.  \n\n\n\nThis workshop will be based at Ohakune and showcase the Tongariro National Park classic landscapes\, intimate landscapes\, and the abstractions you can create from semi macro imaging. Processing is a key component and you will spend time under his guidance on your own images as well as observing how Peter approaches his. \n\n\n\nOn Friday we will meet at Ohakune at 1.00 pm and proceed to our first location returning for dinner followed by an inspirational talk by Peter. \n\n\n\nOn Saturday we will use locations that span the intimate to the epic returning to our accommodation late afternoon for a further processing session. \n\n\n\nOn Sunday we will check out and do one last photoshoot concluding with a late lunch at around 1.00pm. \n\n\n\nTwin share accommodation (single sex) is included in the price. We will be staying at the  Rocky Mountain Chalets in three bedroom chalets that have shared bathroom and kitchen as well as using their conference room.  All meal costs are excluded.  Dinners will be organised but you need to cover their costs.  Please bring breakfasts\, water\, and snacks. You will be able to buy lunches in Ohakune each day. You need a vehicle but car pooling is strongly encouraged. \n\n\n\nLocations will depend on conditions but may include the Waitonga Falls\, Silica Terraces and Taranaki Falls loop track. A modest level of fitness is needed as these are around 5 km each. \n\n\n\nMaximum attendees: 13
