A day to explore painting with your camera!

This will be a day spent out at Muriwai exploring how to break any rules you’ve ever learnt about photography!

Initially based at her gallery in Muriwai, Judy will introduce her work and her thought processes behind Intentional Camera Movement. She shows you the camera techniques she uses as well as how she finishes up her images using Photoshop. You will then also spend some time in the field trying your hand at ICM in the forest, at the gannets and at the beach. Needless to say, tripods will not be necessary – you will however need to feel comfortable carrying your camera gear while you walk into the three different shooting zones. Judy will be on hand at all times to help you break the rules and encourage you to shift that little bit further out of your comfort zone and into a new creative place.

We aim to make the most of a low tide and sunset (~6pm) to enable some creative landscapes, so come prepared for a full day’s photography!

If you want to stick around, Judy also runs private photography tours, so get in touch with her directly and make it a full weekend!
