The Winner of PSNZ Canon on Line 2014 is: Val Pohio with 25 points
I was lucky enough, whilst growing up in Christchurch, to have Fred Bowron (he was one of the original organisers behind the establishment of the PSNZ) as my grandfather and as a youngster sat fascinated through many a slideshow.
Memories of the wonderful light he used to capture stay with me still. This sowed the seed, but it wasn’t until much later in life when free time became more available, about 6 years or so ago, that I decided to spend a year studying for a Diploma of Professional Imaging and moved from snapshots into “making images.”
Today I live in Queenstown and carry my camera, a Canon EOS 70D, with me most places. I love travel photography and wish I had known what I know now during my forays into countries foreign. Landscapes and people are my passion.
I am a member of the Queenstown Photography Club and have been since it started. Prior to that I was with the Wanaka Camera Club.
2nd place Shona Kebble with 23 points
3rd Place Joy Kachina with 22 points
4th Place Julia DeCleene with 21 points
Congratulations Ladies and thank you to all entrants for making a success of PSNZ Canon on Line 2014
