Māwhera National Salon of Photography
Māwhera National Salon of Photography is run by the Greymouth Photography Club which is affiliated to PSNZ. The salon website is at: https://mawhera.myphotoclub.com.au/
Entry is open to residents of New Zealand and financial members of PSNZ residing overseas. The 2026 Salon opens for entries on 1st May 2026, and closes on 31st May 2026.
There will be six (6) sections in 2026.
The National Photojournalism Competition
Hosted by the New Brighton Photographic Club. It is open to all PSNZ New Zealand residents, or financial members of a PSNZ affiliated camera club. Entries comprise digital projected images only.

Nelson National Triptych Salon
Nelson Camera Club’s National Triptych Salon was initiated to encourage and stimulate photographers in the skill of creating three images that not only work well together but also succeed in providing a total impression on the viewer that is greater than the sum of the three individual photographs.
For the purpose of this Salon a triptych is a presentation made up of three (and only three) distinctly separated photographic images displayed on a common background. The subject matter is open.
Entries open on 1st July and close on 31st July 2026. Results will be released by 17 August.

New Zealand Landscape Salon
Formerly known as The Laurie Thomas Landscape Salon, this long-running competition boasts a rich legacy with 2025 being the 28th running of the Salon. Open to all photographers, this digital competition was hosted by the Christchurch Photographic Society.
There is currently no information available regarding a salon in 2026.

Trenna Packer Salver Nature Photographic Competition (clubs)
Hosted by the Nature Photography Society of New Zealand. This is for sets of six New Zealand nature projected images and open to all clubs in New Zealand.
The competition opens on the 1st of May 2026 and closes on Friday the 19th of June 2026.
National Portrait Salon
Hosted by the Tauranga Photographic Society.
Open for entries from 15 June to 31 July 2026.
There are two sections: Creative Portraits, and Open Portraits. Up to four (4) images may be entered into each section.

Pukekohe Franklin Camera Club is very pleased to announce, the Creative Focus competition for 2026 is back.
The competition is open 1st June 2026 and closing 30th June 2026!
