The PSNZ Sony National Exhibition is held annually and exhibited at the PSNZ National Convention.

Purpose & Selection:

The PSNZ Sony National Exhibition is primarily an exhibition and not a competition per se. The exhibition will encompass and give representation to the types of photography created by the submitters. Images are selected on merit first and foremost and the goal is to select an interesting and varied selection that should reflect the different genre of photographs submitted.

Who Can Enter:

Entry to the exhibition is open to all New Zealand residents as well as PSNZ members residing overseas.

Entries are invited in two categories: ‘Nature’ and ‘Open’ each with a print and a digital projected image section.  A panel of three selectors for each section selects the exhibition from the photographs submitted.  The detailed rules for submitting photographs can be found in bylaw 11 .

There are a number of trophies awarded. For a photograph to be eligible for some of the trophies it must meet certain definitions.

This eligibility must be indicated on the entry form for a photograph to be considered for the award.
