George Chance Interclub Print Competition

This is a competition for sets of four landscape prints, one print per club member, to be submitted by member clubs of the PSNZ.

This competition is conducted annually on behalf of the PSNZ by a member club appointed by the current Council of the Society. The competition is exhibited at a Regional Convention and is rotated annually among the Regional Conventions.

The set of four prints must depict landscape.

History

George Chance FRPS presented this cup in 1946 and it was used from 1946 to 1964 for the interclub landscape competition between Dunedin, Southland and North Otago Photographic Societies.

The cup was presented by these three clubs to PSNZ in 1966 to be awarded annually to the winner of the set of four landscape prints interclub competition.

George Chance Competition Rules

The competition shall be open to all photographic clubs and societies which are members of the Society.

An entry in the competition shall be made by a club or society only, and shall consist of four landscape prints.
