In this workshop you will receive valuable lessons on

  • Modelling, lighting, composition and many in camera techniques combined with Photoshop techniques to unleash your creativity and enable you to find ways to express your true vision through your photography.
  • The use of natural light and how to make use of locations within an historic villa that deliver your creative vision.
  • And the potential for introducing additional dimensions through the use of fabrics or other props to create compelling visual effects and how they can enhance the visual story

The workshop will be held at Tracey’s beautiful villa in Rotorua which offers exceptional locations  and props for a model shoot.

We will begin at 3.00 pm Friday 14th November at the villa with an introduction, equipment check and a tour of the property.  On Saturday we will start at 9.00 am to introduce the models, discuss posing, lighting, backdrops, props, composition and ways of shooting to get variations of effects followed by the model shoots. On Saturday evening there will be a pay yourself dinner.  Sunday, from 9.00am to 4.30 pm will be devoted to processing your images under guidance.

Tea and coffee are included but meals and accommodation are not included. There are food, snacks and coffee nearby, however. Please bring your lunch and snacks both days.

Maximum Numbers: 12

$300 includes tea and coffee, excludes meals and accommodation

PSNZ Cancellation Policy

Due to the nature of the PSNZ Workshop Series and that the workshops are generally for small groups and often over-subscribed, cancellations can have a significant financial and attendance effect on the workshop, as well as creating a lot of further administration work.

Although we do everything possible to ensure our workshops proceed, sometimes there are things beyond our control. We strongly advise members to take out the low-cost travel
insurance ($20) that Air NZ offer to cover non-cancellable costs such as airfares and accommodation) or to use motels that don’t require advance payment.

  • PSNZ reserves the right to postpone or cancel a workshop due unforeseen circumstances e.g. facilitator illness, venue access issues, etc. In the event we do cancel a planned workshop, we will attempt to inform attendees as soon as possible and in most cases you will be given an alternative date to attend or provided with a full refund of the workshop costs.
  • If a workshop is postponed, the first right of refusal will be given to those who were already booked on that workshop for the rescheduled workshop.
  • Should a workshop fail to attract a required minimum number of attendees to make it viable to run, PSNZ reserves the right to cancel the workshop.
  • PSNZ will not accept responsibility for travel and accommodation costs incurred by attendees.
  • Attendees may cancel their booking if they give 60 days’ notice prior to the commencement of their workshop and receive a full refund less a $20 administration fee.
  • If attendees give less than 60 days’ notice, then we will do our best to fill your place from the waitlist. If we are able to do this, we will refund your fee less a $20 administration fee. Otherwise no refund will be made.
  • PSNZ may give a full refund if there are exceptional circumstances involved in a person not being able to attend.
