Day 2 at the Central Regional started off with the early risers heading down to Titahi Bay for a photoshoot. Not being an early riser myself I can’t tell you any more about that trip but I am sure it was fun. The day proper started back at the venue at a more reasonable hour with lots of spot prizes being won followed by two great guest speakers – Grant Sheehan (above) and Glen Howey.
Wellington Photographic Supplies (WPS)- the sponsor for the event and the only trade stand, spent the morning stocking up the tables so that when morning tea was served there was a very hard choice to be made – new toys or food. From what I saw happening at the WPS trade stand, food came second for a lot of people! George and Sean both appeared to be very busy with customers which is exactly what we like to see. Well done people for supporting out sponsors so well.
The first round of workshops happened before lunch – did I mention the great food? Then the afternoon was spent out and about with our cameras. The field trips went in two different directions and from the talk around the dinner table this evening, everyone had a great time and they all have a lot of images to process when they get home.
The day closed with a fantastic dinner at the Plimmerton Boating Club – good food, good company, good music – what more could we ask for? Well done Kapiti Camera Club!
