Another great opportunity for some amazing astro photography in the world’s largest Dark Sky Reserve with Lake Tekapo based photographer Joseph Pooley who specializes in creating captivating landscape & astrophotography images.

Takapō (Tekapo) is approximately a three-hour scenic drive from both Queenstown and Christchurch, and is on the main highway between the two cities. The drive offers some of the most spectacular scenery in Aotearoa (New Zealand)

You can check in to the booked accommodation at Tekapo Ski Club Retreat from 3pm.  https://www.tekaposkiclub.co.nz/our-retreat The PSNZ Rep will direct you to your accommodation.  Please note this is shared accommodation.

The workshop will commence on Friday May 19th at 5.30pm with an introduction in the lounge at the accommodation.  Later that night you will move to the

Church of the Good Shepherd to take some photos while the Milky Way core rises in the east.

On the Saturday you will have some of the day at your leisure to explore the area, or catch up on some sleep before meeting once again at 2pm for a post processing and editing workshop, followed by dinner before embarking on another evening adventure.

 Sunday 21st May Checkout of Tekapo Ski Club Retreat by 10am.

The Cost of this workshop is $270 per person which includes the workshop & accommodation on Friday & Saturday nights
