Tonight was the big night – a touch of blue, and a huge dose of celebration.
If you click on the image below, you can see on the programme for the evening those who were recognised for achieving their LPSNZ, APSNZ and FPSNZ honours. Congratulations to all of them, and thanks to CR Kennedy for their sponsorship, and Yealands for the wines, and the Marlborough Camera Club for putting on a wonderful occasion.
Here are those awarded LPSNZ who were able to be there on the night:
And a group of those awarded APSNZ and FPSNZ.
Plus Pauline Muir FPSNZ who was accidentally missed from the group photo:
There was special recognition of a family connection, with Alison Viskovic of the Kapiti Coast Photographic Society receiving her FPSNZ at the same convention that her granddaughter Heather Feary won the Ronald Woolf Award.
What was not on the programme was the surprise of service awards to two very special people, and honorary life membership of PSNZ to another.
Here’s Rochelle Mora from Canon gradually realising what is to come …
And giving the shortest speech I can remember from her, after being presented with her service award by Shona Jaray.
Anne Tate was gob-smacked, and almost speechless, on learning that her outstanding service over 10 years as PSNZ Secretary was to be recognised with a service award.
Former PSNZ president Don Kelly (and MC for the night) was presented with a well deserved Honorary Life Membership of PSNZ by Shona.
As the final formal event of the night, Shona Jaray handed over the Presidential Chains of Office to incoming President Murry Cave.
Socialising, celebration, and dancing, continued into the night ….
